TRUE LIFE STORY -LIFE IS WALKING

I got married at 25, finished my PhD at 27 and became a Professor at 40.

So fast you see! Yes, everything around me worked fast. It is now that I realise that it was a misplaced priority.

My ambition blindfolded me and I got it all wrong, that is why I am sharing my experience through this medium to warn and encourage our young mothers not to be careless as I was back then.

I worked very hard as a lecturer and as an administrator, always so busy that it became my language to my children...."I'm busy"

My mum was around to nurse the children for me for some time. The moment they clocked ten, I sent them to boarding schools, though my husband was not in support of this. I always found my way.

I had no warm relationship with my children, 2 boys and a girl.

I never knew it was a bad idea not to have time for my husband, children and the household, until 5 years ago, when guilt, loneliness and restlessness filled my heart.

I sent for my children to rejoice with me on my 60th birthday.

The two boys, living in Canada said they are "busy" and that their sister will come down from South Africa.

Two days to my birthday, my daughter sent this message to me, "Mum, I am very sorry not to be around over there, there is no time to squeeze out, my husband needs my attention at his newly established clinic and presently, I'm pregnant. "I'm very very busy,
I'm also lonely in a strange land. Please pray for us mum. Happy birthday". I could not recover from the meaning I got from the message.. "First-things-First". When they needed me for warmth and discussion, I was not available, now I needed them for warmth and discussion I could not get them, rather they returned my slogan back to me, "I'm busy"

To worsen the matter, my dear husband died in his sleep a month after. ...Only one of the children came without his family to the burial ceremony.

I was dumbfounded!!! Considered Opinion: it is good to work and be a hard working fellow.
But hear this important and salient truth:

Parenting is sacrificial work, give it all it takes. Avoid any work that will take away your attention too much from your home - Avoid it and be careful!

SOLIDIFY YOUR HOME FIRST, CREATE TIME FOR YOUR SPOUSE AND CHILDREN.

ESTABLISH THE FEAR OF GOD IN THEIR HEARTS THROUGH YOUR ATTITUDE AND BEHAVIOUR.

THOUGH IT IS COSTLY NOW, THE FUTURE REWARD IS WORTH IT.

THIS IS AN EYE OPENER FOR BOTH MEN & WOMEN.

LET'S BE SELFLESSLY AVAILABLE WHEN OUR CHILDREN NEED US.

Life is about service to one another. Soon we leave the stage and all that is left is memories.

Don't Photocopy Ghana Card for Bank Transactions, says BOG

The Bank of Ghana (BOG) has issued a firm directive against photocopying Ghana Cards for banking transactions.

It insisted that biometric verification must be the standard for identity authentication.

This position was reinforced during a stakeholder engagement held at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City, Accra, organized by Identity Management Systems II (IMS II) Limited in collaboration with the National Identification Authority (NIA).

The event, themed ‘Protect every transaction with biometric verification’, brought together the Bank of Ghana, Ghana Association of Banks, National Identification Authority and representatives from the 25 universal banks in Ghana to discuss the critical role of identity verification in securing financial transactions.

Executive Director-IMS II Ltd., James Cantamantu-Koomson, highlighted the fundamental shift in identity management, “The way we do things is changing. Identity is at the center and the engine of our financial system.

The database that the National Identification Authority has gathered is one of the most powerful assets we have as a country.”

His remarks underscored the need to transition from traditional manual processes to a multi-modal biometric verification approach that eliminates security vulnerabilities.

The Bank of Ghana clarified that photocopying Ghana Cards for customer verification is not acceptable.

THEY CANT PAY ME TO FEATURE IN THEIR SKIT

They can't pay me to be in their skits and movies. - "Kwadwo Nkansah LilWin.

The issues always circulating around Myself, Kwaku Manu and Dr.Likee that we're not cool is never true. It's because they can't afford me to feature in their projects but if there's someone who's rich and would like to feature us all in a movie why not, I'm ready to work with them.

I also have the kind of cast I always want to use in my movies and when it's time to use any of Kwaku Manu or Dr. Likee I will of course do that. I'm expensive that's why I only feature in my own projects. - LilWin

LETTER TO MP FOR KETA

Francis Delali Sosu writes ✍🏼

Dear Hon. Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, Member of Parliament for Keta constituency,

The people of keta urge you to address the pressing issue of tidal waves (sea erosion) affecting Keta. Your silence is tantamount to Keta having no representation in parliament. We implore you to do more than just contributing to your party's numerical strength in parliament. Your constituents need attention to alleviate the seasonal erosional crises they face.

The periodic distribution of relief items and visits to affected victims are futile and wasteful if your sole intention is to take photos and engage in social media publicity. We believe you can do better for the people of Keta. This time, we hope you won't resort to the excuse that "your party is not in government." Fortunately, you have the support of four ministers from the region who can back you if you raise this issue on the parliament floor.

The people of Keta elected you not merely to have a representative in parliament, but to voice their concerns and lobby for resources to address them. We kindly request that you speak on this issue; otherwise, we will be compelled to speak on your behalf.

Akpe!

KNUST MURDER: WHAT REALLY HAPPENED?

A lot of people and the student body are saying that the story doesn't makes sense as to why He (Daniel) dated Miss Joana (Her soul rest in peace) from L100 to L400 and he will murder her? It goes beyond that..

From Sources, They've been to the KNUST counselling centre for over 5 times and have been facing serious relationship problems. Due to this, the victims Dad asked them to separate however, the guy was so obsessed with the girl that he doesn't want to let go...

Also in an audio, a friend of Miss Joana said that Joana told her that, the guy has slapped her twice but she loves him and has forgiven him..

2 days prior to this unfortunate incident happening, the girl reported to the knust security that her phone had been stolen as to when action was taken, we are yet to know about that...

In the evening of the before incident, They went to study at the Biological sciences library and left there within the period of 1am to 3am with some other 2 colleagues who later went their separate ways.

As Daniel and Miss Joana were going to their hostel of residence, a little argument came up and Daniel couldn't control his emotions

He pushed her to the ground, using his knee on her neck for 2 minutes, strangling her to death. Upon realising what he did, he shook her lifeless body for about 5 minutes, pulled her body to the Centre of disability, sat with the body for 14 minutes, took her laptop and walked majestically as if nothing happened...

He then went to hide the laptop behind flint hostel and walked away. Earlier that morning He came back to write his exams in the same shirt that he used to commit the crime.

After committing the crime and now making it look like some notorious criminals were the one who committed the crime, it never came to his mind that there were CCTV cameras around so he thought the mission of not being found was complete...

Some friends of the guy reached out to him to ask him whether he knew about that case and he said "when they were going back to the hostel, they had an argument and Miss Joana told him to walk ahead so when he walked a little distance and turned, he didn't see her so he thought she had passed a different route"

Around 6am, our team received messages from student and people who came to see her dead body around 5am... With thorough enquiry, we made a publication on the story and that led to the wide attention by the public and student and parties felt a lot needed to be done in terms of security concerns on and off Campus

The Management in collaboration with the Ghana Police and the KNUST Security Services started investigations into the murder and the CCTV footages showed that Daniel was the mastermind behind the death

In the search for the Daniel, A teaching assistant at Biological sciences department helped to fish out Daniel writing his papers with the same shirt he used to commit the murder

Fast forward, Daniel was arrested and arraigned before the Court at Asafo yesterday where he has been remanded and will appear before the court for his final hearing on 17th March, 2025

The big question is, as to what have led to Daniel killing Miss Joana out of that little argument he claimed to his friends is yet unknown 🤔.

After his hearing on 17th March, 2025... we will hear from the Ghana Police Service and the management, the intentions that led to her painful death.
