LETTER TO MP FOR KETA

Francis Delali Sosu writes ✍🏼

Dear Hon. Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, Member of Parliament for Keta constituency,

The people of keta urge you to address the pressing issue of tidal waves (sea erosion) affecting Keta. Your silence is tantamount to Keta having no representation in parliament. We implore you to do more than just contributing to your party's numerical strength in parliament. Your constituents need attention to alleviate the seasonal erosional crises they face.

The periodic distribution of relief items and visits to affected victims are futile and wasteful if your sole intention is to take photos and engage in social media publicity. We believe you can do better for the people of Keta. This time, we hope you won't resort to the excuse that "your party is not in government." Fortunately, you have the support of four ministers from the region who can back you if you raise this issue on the parliament floor.

The people of Keta elected you not merely to have a representative in parliament, but to voice their concerns and lobby for resources to address them. We kindly request that you speak on this issue; otherwise, we will be compelled to speak on your behalf.

Akpe!
